My Sister is getting married in Compton Dando on the 2nd of June. My father Koenraad gets around on a mobility buggy and is showing signs of dementia. We usually take care of him but I will be helping to organise the wedding and my sister, of course, will be busy getting married!
So we are looking for an extra helping hand to get him washed, dressed, and keep him company on the day while he takes part in the wedding events, making sure he uses the bathroom when needed, help make arrangements according to what he wants to do. For example ensuring he does not wander off and gets back to his accommodation when he wants to.
Ideally, you would have a car which we can put the buggy in the boot. We will, of course, be helping with all this but just need a helping hand who is professional, friendly and easy to get on with. Koenraad is very amicable and relaxed and it should be an enjoyable event. You will eat with the guests.
Times TBC but I expect it would be from 12noon-10pm. We may also need help on Sunday the 3rd depending on the arrangements. We have put £10 per hour but this can be discussed according to standard rates. We will also pay petrol milage for transport.
