Details:
My father is 84 and currently cares for my mum whom has vascular dementia. Myself and my brother (who both live away) help support my dad as much as feasibly possible to ensure my mum can stay living at home rather than be relocated to a care home. Given mum's condition is gradually declining, dad is now finding it difficult to cope, and as such requires some additional help with mum. Mum sometimes has difficulty with communication and also requires assistance for day to day things such as mobility, toilet needs, dressing etc. She needs some stimulation to try to keep her mentally and physically engaged. She is a very loving, caring and grateful person, but can get sometimes quite agitated and distressed. I personally can provided support usually on Monday and Tuesdays however dad could do with some extra help through the week. Days/times are negotiable. One day to start with (to see how things go) and then possibly an increase to 2/3 days.
