Hello I am seeking a compassionate, capable and empathetic individual who enjoys interacting with seniors. My father, who is 80yrs old and rapidly recovering from a stroke at the beginning of the year, requires a travel companion who can provide assistance while being sensitive to the needs of a quiet and reserved gentleman.
Ideal applicant would work 10.30am-1.30pm, Tuesdays and Fridays. Duties include assisting my dad as he attempts to regain his strength and balance while walking, accompanying him outdoors to social settings, arranging and encouraging him to take part in activities. There maybe some occasional support required with his personal care needs (e.g. shaving, cutting finger nails).
