Food they like: The client enjoys cooking and learning new recipes so any cooking ability would be advantageous.
Music: The client enjoys playing the guitar and singing songs. If you have any musical ability, or even just a willingness to join in with singing, this would be appreciated.
Films: The client enjoys films.
Books: The client enjoys listening to audio books and reading.
Days Out: Walks in the countryside/nature.
Other Interests: The client tries to complete an exercise routine everyday in which he requires assistance. This involves encouragement, counting reps and changing weights. Enjoying exercise would be advantageous.
Details:
Man in mid forties seeks carer/befriender to provide company and assist with day to day household tasks. These would include cleaning, washing up, washing, food preparation, shopping for groceries and simple adminstrative tasks such as help with writing emails, paying bills and making phone calls.
Experience working with mental health is not essential but you must have a caring disposition and empathetic manner. Good conversation would be appreciated.
No mobile phones allowed while working. A car owner would be preferable.
Initially 1-2 days a week from 9am-5pm.
