About the Client
Clients Name: Wendy
TV: Any TV, she prefers to chat than watch tele though
Days Out: Occasional walks around the local park when it's warmer, but these trips are starting to prove unnerving for mum so unsure whether it would be wise much more.
Details:
Our current Live in carer has expressed a wish to take 3 months off to travel and see her family in New Zealand. We would like someone to take her place from mid March. Wendy, my mother, has Alzheimer's, not severe but enough to make her being alone a risk. I live with her and am on hand at weekends, which would be your rest days.
I work long hours in the week though so you would be on call pretty much from when Mum wakes up until she sleeps. She sleeps right through until 7am most night although she will, around 1-2 nights a week, wake up in a panic. Your room will be next to hers and we would require your assistance to sit with her until she drifts off again.
