Food they like: Salad's and light food. Mum is quite small and has little appetite for large meals.
Days Out: She likes going out to the local shop and cafe for a tea
Details:
I am looking to take on a carer to live in 3 days with my mother Sophia to give me some time off in the week. The 3 days can be flexible but I would prefer they were all in a row. You would have a clean double room to stay in.
The shift would run from 9am on the first day to 9am three days later. Mum is a lovely lady but can be quite demanding as she is forgetting a great deal now. It doesn't seem to upset her but she will ask the same thing over and over so you will need patience and experience in Alzheimer's care.
Mum has no trouble getting around, she just needs someone on hand all the time in case she forgets the oven is on or the door is open etc.
