About Me:

I’m a conscientious and loyal carer who has 11 years excellent, high standard experience working with the elderly along with caring daily and for 2 years for my late mother who suffered from cancer. The duties I have performed throughout the years are widely extensive as I have cared for both very healthy and terminally ill people, these include but are not limited to medicine administration, daily cleaning and food preparation, personal care on immobilised individuals, shopping and mental support. I have performed all and more of these tasks daily for the past 9 years as I have worked for the late 92 year old lady not only demanded and exceptionally high standard but in the last 3 years of her life demanded near constant supervision and support due to her failing health. My experience working with the lady substantially developed my standard of work along with allowing me to strengthen my patience and level headedness as I often had to work in a stressful environment following the lady's rapid health deterioration, such as aiding the nurses and administrating aid independently when it was needed urgently. Yet despite this I have found ways through my work to not only retain her dignity but to also give her a true sense of independence despite her becoming more dependent on me and my work. This very long term employment developed to a life-long friendship as I have befriended not only her but also her family. I have also extensively provided 24 hour care for 2 years for my terminally ill mother. Above all my duties for caring for an advanced stage cancer patient, I was responsible for administrating and cleaning her TIVD and her ostomy bag. I pride myself of carrying my work out with both respect and dignity towards the people I care for as I’m here to not only help them but to also be their peer in times of loneliness and mental support.
