About Me:
I am looking for a carer for my son who has experience of working with autistic children, Aaron is non verbal and has severe learning difficulties . The carer must be able to do... Mon Apr 17, 2017 I have worked in healthcare for the past twelve years holding different positions such as Healthcare Assistant, Senior Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, Mental Health Recovery Worker and Team Leader. In these different roles, I have worked with several client groups in mental health such as; learning disabilities, young adults suffering from autism and elderly with dementia. My job role involves working in different care settings such as hospitals, day centres, supported living lodgings, residential and nursing homes. Throughout this, my duties involve administering of medication, working as a part of a team, using my own initiative, lone working and managing a caseload. Working in this role requires networking with other professionals and I have worked with social workers, dieticians, psychologists, GP, dentists, community mental health nurses and the Police in supporting young adults with mental health. I have gained wide experience from the different roles and have also attended a number of training courses to improve my qualifications and skills. Some of the qualifications which I have achieved are National Vocational Level 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care, Safe Handling of Medicine, Protection of Vulnerable Adults, Mental Health Training, First Aid, Report Writing and Health & Safety.
