About Me:

I have worked in my current position for just over two years, I feel that I am ready for a new challenge that will help me build on the experience I have gained to lead me into my goal of training within the national health service to become a nurse. I have recently studied & completed QCF level 2 in health & social care, at the same time I have achieved many distance learning courses in various subjects, this has increased and consolidated my knowledge. I work well as part of a team, meeting the personal centred needs of the residents in our care in a medium sized residential setting. Ensuring they are treated as equals with dignity, respect and compassion. I am a dedicated and flexible member of the team, I have excellent communication skills and ensure all reports are accurate. I now lead the shift, with the responsibility for allocating tasks to the staff. I liaise with other health care professional ensuring their directions are followed, observing, monitoring and reporting changes in individual conditions. I am responsible for the administration of medication to the residents, ensuring that all legal documentation is completed. I work within the policies and procedures of the home and work closely with the management team to ensure the health & safety is adhered too. I know my own personal limitations and will ask for support and guidance when I need to.
