About Me:

hello all. my name is Anna. i am 43 going on 25!haha. I have worked within most areas of care work for the past 19 years. Nursing homes on leaving school. then 8 years through a nursing agency (W.N.S.) where most of my work was within various mental health units & learning disability units, but also nursing & residential homes for the elderly & also other vunerable young adults. more recently I was offered a job as a senior carer doing home care, which i absolutely loved! & worked there for 5 years. Most recently,the last 3 years I have been working independantly still doing homecare for a number of people all with various needs. Iv found that people who can remain within there own home are generally much happier which obviously aids any task they may need helping with or any care they may require. Maybe i feel this way as i am myself a very happy little soul! haha & lets face it you can go away feeling you have done a good job if you have handled all that was needed & youve left that person smiling. Up to present no task as beat me.. i can cook & clean with the best of them,am strong & able, can tackle personal care like its a strole in the park & pretty much can find something in everyone worth liking & working on, I know I am very good at this work as the people i care for tell me.. Often! ha. but even more importantly i believe is the fact I couldnt have it any other way & wouldnt offer anything but well deserved help & care to people who have themselfs, or indeed their family members, entrusted me to carry out. I have a record of outstanding reliability. This is vital when you work for yourself & your job/clients rely on you, whether that be to assist that person out of bed & ready for the day ahead inc. p.c. & dietry requirements or maybe just to be the friendly face that takes them their paper in a morning & 'puts switch down on kettle on your way in'! haha. Generally peoples own needs are very hard to place in a box. But as i mentioned I havnt yet come across a task that as beat me. non being to small or too big.

Although iv carried out all training every offered from first aid through to moving & handling. Since working for myself i havnt kept any training upto date unfortunatly. but worked from the experiences iv learnt along the way.

Interests

Food: Quite simple food id say. prefer home cooked. im not very adventurous when it comes to trying foods im not familiar with im afraid.

Music: Anything. . as long as its not that screamy row some of the young adults are into! sorry.. haha

TV: Never watch it at home! my passion is reading. but i do get my fill throughout the day on my visits.

Films: Love films. Stories are my weak point. So i can usually get into most films with a good story line behind them.

Books: Any! more the merrier. this is how i relax in my own time.

Days Out: Iv never been anywhere i havnt enjoyed.. well not twice anyway! haha

Other Interests: Ahh.. 'back in day' i was very much into watersports. Was infact quite good at wakeboarding came 3rd one year then 1st the following year. (2years ago.) in the womans wakeboarding 7up finals held at Rother Valley. Yay. get me! ha.
